Luca Ruggiero

I’m Luca Ruggiero, @imlukez. Director, filmmaker and photographer, but above all a storyteller who happens to work with a camera. Since 2017 I’ve done one thing across Europe: make images that are hard to forget.

It started on two wheels. I was a rider and a creative first, shooting for brands like Yamaha, Ruroc, DMD, Puig and Leovince. In 2021 I turned professional with Never Forget for Racered, a full campaign rather than just a reel, and haven’t stopped since. That’s when I left my career as an engineer to go all in as a creative.

These days I move between worlds: fashion and sport, brand films and live events, travel and, yes, plenty of cars. Since 2023 I’ve been director and creative producer for Moto.it, with 50+ projects behind me and more coming. But the work closest to my heart is my own: Driven By Lights (Porsche 911 GT3, Atomos) and Nothing But Instinct (Sony × Lotus, shot in the Dolomites), where the car is just the starting point for a bigger story.

Chasing these passions has taken me across Europe, from Portugal and Spain to Denmark and the Czech Republic, and as far north as Iceland.

Cars are a passion, not a limit. What I’m really after is emotion, whatever the subject: a product, a place, a person, a brand. And above all, I’m here to turn what you do into something people truly feel.

Nine years of productions across Europe, alongside some of the biggest brands out there, taught me it’s never about the gear or the budget. From run-and-gun to the most structured set, the job stays the same: pour everything I’ve learned into work people truly feel.
